Elise Mazareas Nash, PLA, ASLA

Elise Mazareas Nash founded her practice, EMN Landscape Design & Consulting, in 2016 bringing her experience managing multi-disciplinary teams on large institutional and commercial projects to small commercial and residential commissions. A native of Marblehead, MA and a life-long competitive sailor, Elise is a committed problem-solver whose willingness to immerse herself in a challenge has honed her ability to think on her feet. A collaborator both on and off the water, Elise forms close relationships with team members and clients as she works with them to re-envision their landscapes and guide them in prioritizing their goals and implementing the work.

Elise is a registered Landscape Architect with 15 years of experience. She developed her appreciation of aesthetics, her love of plants, and her technical expertise at the award-winning practices of Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates and Reed Hilderbrand. She has worked on a wide range of landscape commissions, including Harvard University’s Institutional Master Plan for Allston, Rena Park in Allston, the Binney Street Development in East Cambridge, Corktown Commons and York Quay in Toronto, as well as several residential landscapes and private urban gardens.

Elise holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Geoscience from Boston College. Academia continues to energize Elise, who has served as a graduate-level studio instructor at the Boston Architectural College, a thesis advisor at Wentworth Institute of Technology, and continues to serve as a design critic for architecture and landscape studios.
